- Building a culture of life one smile at a time
Guadalupe Mission Home
We realize that some teenage mothers get abandoned not only by their partners but also by their family members, which drives them into deep despair during pregnancy and after. Because of these struggles, it raises chances for mothers to go for abortion and get involved in improper jobs to survive sometimes leading to suicide.
The Guadalupe Mission Home project provides a safe home for abandoned mothers where they can stay as a family, monitored and supported daily for ante-natal and post-natal care so that the challenges they are faced with don’t become the channel for ending their life journey.
This mission home is also a centre for training and workshops for other teenage mothers, where they come to receive training and skills in different aspects of their lives even to those that are not accommodated fully in this home.
It also has space for a children’s centre mainly focused on serving the babies of teenage mothers. This has a play centre, and day care centre and in future, we hope to have a kindergarten.
We have realized that sometimes transformation comes easily when you have full access to a person 24/7. Therefore, by getting these mothers from their communities, we are able to support them to dream again for their lives and become independent to take care of their lives and babies.
The overall goal of this project is to equip teenage mothers with life skills, hands-on skills (book making), business skills (computer training), entrepreneurial and vocational skills like tailoring and hairdressing which are key in empowering women to create sustainable income for improved livelihoods.

We are currently in the process of building this safe home. It is estimated to be completed by Jan 2025. All donations made with intentions for safe home will goes towards this construction. Any donation is appreciated. Please comment on donation “safe home.”
